Nick Johnson: Future of the Ethereum Name Service and thoughts on ProgPOW

On this episode, Nick Johnson joins the podcast. Nick is the lead developer for the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) which offers a secure and decentralized way to address resources both on and off the blockchain using simple, human-readable names. We discuss the current state of the ENS and the big plans for it in 2019 including a new registrar, rent based model and release of domains under 7 characters long. We also discuss ProgPOW, a proposed change to Ethereum's hashing algo to fork out ASICs.
