Nick is the lead developer for the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) which offers a secure and decentralized way to address resources both on and off the blockchain using simple, human-readable names. We discuss the current state of the ENS and the big plans for it in 2019 including a new registrar, rent based model and release of domains under 7 characters long. We also discuss ProgPOW, a proposed change to Ethereum's hashing algo to fork out ASICs.
